My sister and her friends were hosting a Masquerade Ball Halloween Party and when she came to me for a cake, I immediately thought, "How great would it be to incorporate the "ghoulishness" of Halloween with the "elegance" of a Masquerade Ball?" And that's when I came up with the picture in my mind for a Masquerade Ghost cake!!!
What do you think?
Next time I recreate this cake, I will definitely shape the round layers so that the ghost flows smoothly! Again, another reason NOT to rush things...you forget those minor details that will make the cake even better!!! :)
No problem, though...they all LOVED it and didn't notice it...they weren't looking at the cake from my ever-learning, critiquing standpoint.
